These are all standards from the Common Core for 3rd Grade Reading and Writing that this WebQuest follows. The basis of these is reading and writing informational text. The goal of this WebQuest was to have students make a meanigful connection with the scenario so that they are motivated to research the topic and present their collected information. The Quest also helps them learn cooperation and group interaction skills as well as build on personal responsibility as they are placed in charge of the classroom pet.
